You could work 39 hours a week then after 2 weeks get an RTT. This was supposed to help boost employment, but it only hindered productivity. It was a poorly conceived plan, and though we all agree in theory that it\u2019s great to work less and produce more, in reality it\u2019s a lot more complex. It depends on the industry. The small web agency cannot just hire new talent to offset an expert\u2019s absence a few hours a week.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"35-hour week: Do the French really work less?\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FTgKOr6Qk3U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Could we rather move to 32 hour weeks. For same pay? Can we achieve our productivity goals? What about 16 hour weeks?
